Overview

As a Motion Graphic Designer, you will define and elevate the visual language that brings our AI experiences to life. This role blends refined UI design craft, expressive motion, and strong storytelling instincts. You will design how the AI moves, transitions, responds, and communicates through subtle, meaningful animations—ensuring the interface feels seamless, elegant, and deeply human.

Key Responsibilities

Motion & UI Design

• Create high-quality UI animations, micro-interactions, and transitions that clearly communicate AI behavior and system intent.
• Design intuitive motion patterns that enhance navigation, feedback loops, and dynamic UI states.
• Refine UI elements through thoughtful animation, including cards, buttons, panels, dialogs, loaders, chat flows, and generative elements.
• Craft interaction animations that make complex AI responses feel natural, fluid, and informative.
• Build and maintain Lottie assets and motion components optimized for cross-platform performance.

Prototyping & Storytelling

• Develop high-fidelity motion prototypes that bring ideas and future concepts to life with clarity and emotional resonance.
• Use storytelling techniques to demonstrate how AI interactions unfold over time.
• Create storyboards or motion sketches to explore and validate concepts before full production.

System Thinking

• Contribute to motion guidelines that establish a cohesive motion language across all AI touchpoints.
• Maintain and evolve a motion component library that enables designers and engineers to build with confidence.
• Continuously evolve system expressiveness as AI capabilities grow, ensuring motion always adds meaning—not noise.

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Partner closely with UI/UX designers to ensure motion enhances usability and visual clarity.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure animations are implemented accurately, efficiently, and responsibly.
• Share motion insights that influence and strengthen the broader design system, particularly around AI states and behaviors.

Core Skills Required

• Strong UI design fundamentals with a refined eye for spacing, typography, hierarchy, and visual clarity.
• Deep expertise in After Effects, Lottie, motion prototyping tools, and modern UI design workflows.
• Ability to design purposeful, intuitive motion that supports user understanding rather than distracting from it.
• Strong understanding of timing, easing, rhythm, and visual storytelling principles.
• Comfort designing both micro-interactions and large, system-level motion flows.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Background in video editing, filmmaking, animation, or storyboarding.
• Experience with 3D motion or advanced visual effects.
• Familiarity with sound design and how audio complements motion.
• Understanding of cinematography principles such as pacing, framing, and emotional beats.

Experience

• 4+ Years of proven experience designing motion for digital products, including web, mobile, AI-driven interfaces, or system-level UIs.

• Experience working within or contributing to scalable design systems and component libraries is a strong plus.
